Create Christmas Post with AI for Restaurant

December is the month restaurants are booked or not. Office parties, family dinners, friends meeting before the holidays: the diners are looking for a place, and they are looking early. This guide to creating a Christmas post with AI for a restaurant treats the season as a booking campaign, not just a decoration.

Work backwards from the bookings

Christmas content has jobs, and they happen in order.

  1. Announce. Your festive menu is ready, and bookings are open.
  2. Remind. Group tables are filling up.
  3. Inform. Opening hours on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31st.
  4. Wish. A thank-you and greeting.

Each job is a different post. Do not try to cover all four in one.

The festive menu post

Show the menu through its star dish, not a list. Add one line about what it is.

A festive roast dinner on a white plate: sliced turkey, roast potatoes, brussels sprouts with chestnuts, cranberry sauce, shown on a wooden table with a sprig of pine and a small candle, warm light, space at the top for a headline.

The group booking post

Office parties and families are your best tables. Show a long table, glasses, crackers, laughter.

A long restaurant table set for a Christmas party, white tablecloth, red and gold napkins, candles, small pine centrepieces, glasses of sparkling drink, warm golden light, no people.

The room post

If you decorate, show it. If you do not, show warm light and a calm table, which is enough.

Opening hours post

This one is plain and useful. Make it clear and readable, with the dates in large type. Check every date and time in the final picture. A wrong date on a holiday post sends guests to a closed door.

Keep festive without losing your identity

It is easy for all restaurants to look the same in December: red, green, snowflakes. Keep your own brand colours, and add the season as an accent, such as a sprig, a ribbon, a candle. If you have guidelines, name your brand with @, and the logo, colours and fonts follow them.

Mind the audience

Not all your guests celebrate Christmas. A neutral winter greeting, or a post about "festive dinners", can be more welcoming. Decide what fits your community.

Dietary notes

If you mention vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free festive options, make sure the dish and the claim are accurate. State allergens in text you wrote yourself.

Use stories for last-minute tables

A story reading "two tables left on Friday" is useful, but only if true. The story format is 9:16, 1080 x 1920, and text should stay within the safe area.

Doing it in Melon Cut

Open Melon Cut Design, choose Social, and use the 4:5 post or 9:16 story. Describe your festive dish or table, and make up to 4 pictures from each prompt. You can also use your real menu photo as a reference. Check all text before you post.
