Create a Month of Restaurant Social Media Posts with AI

Most restaurants post in bursts: a flurry when things are quiet, nothing when the dining room is full. A month plan fixes that. This article shows how to create a month of restaurant social media posts with AI in one working session, so the feed keeps going even on your busiest weeks.

Start with the calendar, not the pictures

Open the month and mark what is fixed:

  • Public holidays and your opening hours on them.
  • Menu changes or new dishes.
  • Events: live music, tastings, private hire.
  • Slow days you want to fill.
  • Anything the neighbourhood is doing, such as a festival or a market.

Pictures come after this. A plan with a reason for each post is better than a pile of pretty images.

A weekly pattern

Use the same shape each week and you only have to decide the content.

| Day | Post type | | --- | --- | | Monday | A dish you want to sell this week | | Wednesday | Room or atmosphere | | Thursday | Weekend booking reminder | | Friday | Story: tonight's table or special | | Sunday | Behind the scenes, team or kitchen |

You do not have to follow this exactly. Choose what suits your trade.

The five post types

  1. Dish. The plate, close, with a reason to want it.
  2. Room. The place at a moment you want to fill.
  3. People. The kitchen, the team, a regular's favourite.
  4. Practical. Hours, holidays, booking.
  5. Offer or event. A limited reason to come now.

Aim for a mix, not four dish photos in a row.

One session, many posts

In Melon Cut Design, a plan from one prompt can hold up to 30 posts, stories, pictures and videos together. Describe your month in a single message and ask for the plan.

Plan a month of social posts for @YourRestaurant, a family Italian restaurant. Four dish posts a week focus on pasta and grilled fish, one room post, one behind-the-kitchen story, and a booking reminder every Thursday. Mix 4:5 posts and 9:16 stories. Warm evening light, rustic wooden tables.

Then refine post by post.

Change the third post to a close picture of tiramisu in a glass, with space at the top for a headline.

Mix formats on purpose

Use 4:5 posts (1080 x 1350) for dishes and rooms. Use 9:16 stories (1080 x 1920) for same-day items. Use a square (1080 x 1080) for simple announcements. Add one or two short videos for variety.

Leave gaps

Do not fill every day. Leave space for the unplanned things: a delivery of beautiful fish, a surprise table, a local event. A planned month with a few open slots feels live; one with no gaps feels automatic.

Check before you post

Go through the batch with a pen.

  • Do dishes look like your dishes?
  • Are dates, times and prices exactly right?
  • Is any text spelled correctly?
  • Are there extra fingers, odd cutlery or strange objects?
  • Is any claim (organic, local, vegan, halal) true?

Melon Cut makes the files. You post them yourself, at the times you choose.
