Create Summer Sale Post with AI
Summer sales have one advantage: the season already gives you the pictures. Sun, water, fruit, long evenings. When you create a summer sale post with AI, the work is deciding which of those pictures fits your shop and leaving space for the offer. This guide is built as questions you answer before you write the prompt.
What does summer look like for your customer?
A swimwear shop and a garden centre mean different things by summer. Write one sentence: "For my customers, summer is ___." Then use it.
- A surf shop: waves, salt, sand on the board.
- A stationery shop: a notebook on a picnic blanket.
- A home store: fruit bowls and open windows.
- A bike shop: an empty road at seven in the morning.
Which colours?
Summer palettes can be loud or soft. Choose two main colours and one accent, and stay inside them. If your brand already has a palette, use it and let the season come from the scene, not from new colours.
Flat lay on warm sand: a straw hat, sunglasses and a folded striped towel, bright midday sun, hard shadows, a turquoise and cream palette, big empty area on the right. 4:5 post.
Where does the offer go?
A sale post needs room for words. Say in the prompt where the empty area should be. Keep the text short, three lines at most: the offer, the dates and where to buy.
Remember the safe areas. In a 4:5 post, keep text 13% in from each side and 12% from the top and bottom. In a story, keep it 8% from each side and 14% from the top and bottom. Our Instagram post size guide explains why.
What to say
Be plain about the offer. Good lines:
- "Summer sale. Up to half price on selected items." (only if true)
- "Last weekend of the sale."
- "New items added today."
Avoid claims you cannot support, such as "the lowest prices" unless you can prove it. Check every price, date and discount in the picture before publishing.

One sale, many posts
A summer sale lasts weeks. Vary the posts: one product, one category, one story about the last days. A plan from one prompt can hold up to 30 items; see create many social media posts from one prompt.
Check the result
Look for odd hands, extra items and wrong text. Products shown in the sale must really be in the sale. If you sell clothes, a new arrival post for a clothing store shows how to feature real stock.
